Transfers!!!

This week was a little rough. I was sick for most of the week and that made me feel even more homesick. The hot weather is still messing with my body a bit. While I was sick my brain kept on telling me I should be getting chills but it was just too hot for that to happen.

Last night we found out what would happen this transfer. I will be moving to a different area that is about 20 or 30 minutes north of Garavelo. I will be in a completely different zone of the mission though. Luckily I will have another American companion, Elder Price, so I won't be completely lost but I will have to try to force myself to learn Portuguese. We are going to be over the Goia area and it is pretty big like the Garavelo area.

This week we had district council and one of the sisters in our district is going home tomorrow so it was fun to see that if you work hard you will eventually get to go home. I got on the most full bus I have ever seen this week. The bus driver shut the door and it pushed me into everyone else on the bus. I almost lost my umbrella in the door but lucky for me a kind stranger helped me save it.

We had divisions with the Zone Leaders again this week and I went with Elder White. We played some volleyball with some kids on the street and every time I touched the ball they would say "Wow, he is a professional!" haha.

I think the only people that own air conditioning here lived in the US at some point. We went to a member's house with the Zone Leaders for lunch during the division and of course they were speaking English and blasting A.C. the entire time we were there. It was honestly almost too cold because it was so hot outside.

My spiritual thought for this week is a scripture from the New Testament.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
This scripture basically means that to live the gospel all we need to do is love our neighbors. It is a lot easier said than done, but I have already seen it help me with being in Brasil and learning Portuguese.
