Feliz Natal
This week was awesome. We had our Christmas Zone conference on Wednesday and I got to see my guys from the MTC again so that was awesome. One of our Uber drivers this week had an electric car and it was by far the nicest car I have been in on my mission.
We are teaching these 2 boys right now and they are hilarious. The younger one told us that the worst sin he had was one time him and one of his friends got some animals together and pretended they were Pokémon and threw rocks at them to try to "catch" them. His little brother then walked in the room just to tell us that his "Pokémon" were trash. Elder Price and I laughed about that for the rest of the day.
We had divisions this week and I got to hangout with Elder Patterson. He is awesome and we invited someone to be baptized, and they accepted the invitation. I was told I look like Messi again this week. This was by a grandma who was playing the song "Not Like Us" and Elder Price and I definitely thought that her grandson was home and he was playing it.
This Sunday was pretty good. We had 4 of our friends come to Church and 3 of them are planning on being baptized next Sunday.
We also met the Stake President on Sunday. He asked where I was from and I told him Washington. He said like Spokane, Washington and I was shocked because everyone else I tell I am from Washington assumes I am from the Capitol. It turns out he was baptized by a missionary from Spokane and he still keeps in touch with him today. He showed me a picture of the missionary's family and asked if I knew them. It turns out that the missionary is related to my family's close friends, the Schaber Family. It was awesome to make that connection with him.
My spiritual thought for this week is about repentance. I have just realized how much of a blessing it is that we can be forgiven when we make mistakes and sin. Even when it is as bad as throwing rocks at animals aka Pokémon. But on a serious note, Jesus has given so much for us to be able to be clean and forgiven. We should be more forgiving of ourselves and others like He would want. I love you all and hope you have a great Christmas.
