8 months and a miracle
This week was very good. I'm not really sure why but it just felt a lot better. I think part of it was now I have completed 8 months/one third of my mission.
We had a mini miracle this week. We were visiting some members of the church who the missionaries had not had any contact with for a while, and we found this lady who told us she was already thinking of coming back to church recently. Unfortunately, she had to work this Sunday so she couldn't go to church, but she told us she would next week. That was the most interesting thing that happened this week.
This week I was reading in the Book of Mormon and found a part that prophesies about Jesus Christ.
1 Nephi 10: 4-6. "Yea, even six hundred years from the time that my father left Jerusalem, a prophet would the Lord God raise up among the Jews—even a Messiah, or, in other words, a Savior of the world. And he also spake concerning the prophets, how great a number had testified of these things, concerning this Messiah, of whom he had spoken, or this Redeemer of the world. Wherefore, all mankind were in a lost and in a fallen state, and ever would be save they should rely on this Redeemer."
I love this part because it explains that Jesus is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. It also reminds us that we can only be saved if we rely on Him. I have noticed that my life is always a little easier when I focus on Jesus Christ's sacrifice for me and if He can do that then I can be a little more obedient and work a little harder every day. I love you all! If you have any questions or just want to talk you can email me at benson.plaster@missionary.org.
