This week was a little crazy. It started with transfers and it was super fun to talk with people there. After that I got to take a bus to Anápolis and I was traveling with 6 other missionaries and unfortunately we missed our bus so we had to get some help and catch the next bus an hour later. 

So far my area has been great. Our members love to help the missionaries and everything is a lot closer to the church than my last area so that is great. My companion Elder Graham is awesome and I can already tell that this transfer is going to be great. I met a cool member in our ward this week. He has 2 giant tubs of water that have over 100 fish. The coolest ones were either the 3 ft monsters or the albino catfish. 

This week I want to share a very popular scripture from the Book of Mormon. It is 1st Nephi 3:7. "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." This has really helped motivate me through the past few weeks and I know it will help me throughout my mission. I know that the Lord will always challenge us to go through hard things and it is only because he wants to see us grow. Transfers!!!

This week was a little rough. I was sick for most of the week and that made me feel even more homesick. The hot weather is still messing with my body a bit. While I was sick my brain kept on telling me I should be getting chills but it was just too hot for that to happen.  Last night we found out what would happen this transfer. I will be moving to a different area that is about 20 or 30 minutes north of Garavelo. I will be in a completely different zone of the mission though. Luckily I will have another American companion, Elder Price, so I won't be completely lost but I will have to try to force myself to learn Portuguese. We are going to be over the Goia area and it is pretty big like the Garavelo area.  This week we had district council and one of the sisters in our district is going home tomorrow so it was fun to see that if you work hard you will eventually get to go home. This week felt like forever. Packing up all my stuff just to unpack was a lot more annoying than I thought it would be. I already love the new area I am in. Elder Price is awesome. He has already helped me so much with Portuguese and being more confident in my skills.  We had a ward Christmas party and church on Sunday so I have already met a lot of the people in our ward. We share our chapel with another set of missionaries, so we got to sing with them and the little kids in our wards during the other wards primary program on Sunday.  I got to try some more interesting food this week. Someone gave us corn flavored Popsicles after we ate lunch with them one day. My brain was so confused by it because I never thought I would eat something like that. It was Elder Price's birthday this week and some members invited us over to celebrate with some cake. We have many friends that are close to baptism but sadly none of them were at church this Sunday. The Banana 🍌

T his was another long week. It was awesome though. For New Years we got to have a Churrasco with one of our favorite families of our ward. We also had lunch with them the next day and they decided one Churrasco wasn't enough so we had another one the very next day. We also played Monopoly with them because nobody wanted to meet with us.  Our ward continues to be awesome, but sadly we only got one guy to church but they did a great job helping us teach him.  At one of our lunches this week the members gave us bananas to eat. The little girl gave me a banana that had two bananas in one peel. They told me I would have good luck if I ate it, so I did. Afterwards they told me my good luck was that I would have twins.  My spiritual thought for this week is a good scripture I read this week. It is 2nd Nephi 2:24. "But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things." I like this verse because when bad things happen it is easy to get discouraged and...
