Tiny Pineapple
This week was a little challenging, but also super fun. Elder Price and I visited a lot of people and he got to say good bye to them. Transfers were on Wednesday, and I got to see a lot of my missionary friends so that was awesome. I also picked up my new companion, Elder Coronel. He is super cool, but he is my first comp that doesn't speak fluent English so I have been practicing my Portuguese a lot this week. Our first day together we were walking to lunch and this random person flipped us off for no reason, so we have made quite a few jokes about that already. We also found a tiny pineapple on the road so we took a few pictures of it.
Unfortunately nobody could make it to church with us this week even though some people said they would. I think next week will be better though because this week just felt weird because of transfers.
My spiritual thought this week is Matthew 23:12. "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted." I love this scripture because it tells us exactly what we need to do in this life. When we humble ourselves before God, He will help us become greater than we ever imagined. And I feel like in a way I was humbled this week when I had to only speak in Portuguese and realize how much more I still need to learn and study. Until next week.
