This week felt like forever. Packing up all my stuff just to unpack was a lot more annoying than I thought it would be. I already love the new area I am in. Elder Price is awesome. He has already helped me so much with Portuguese and being more confident in my skills.
We had a ward Christmas party and church on Sunday so I have already met a lot of the people in our ward. We share our chapel with another set of missionaries, so we got to sing with them and the little kids in our wards during the other wards primary program on Sunday.
I got to try some more interesting food this week. Someone gave us corn flavored Popsicles after we ate lunch with them one day. My brain was so confused by it because I never thought I would eat something like that. It was Elder Price's birthday this week and some members invited us over to celebrate with some cake. We have many friends that are close to baptism but sadly none of them were at church this Sunday. Please pray for them so we can get them to church next Sunday.
My spiritual thought this week is focused on Jesus Christ, because we are getting close to Christmas. It is a scripture from the Book of Mormon. 2 Nephi 9:21 "And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam." I love having the knowledge that I can be saved because of Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and Redeemer. I invite all of you to focus your Christmas a little more on Christ and what he did for you instead of the other less significant gifts you receive. If you have any questions or just want to talk you can email me at benson.plaster@missionary.org.
