💥Kaboom💥

This week was pretty good. The title today is because we were walking home from church on Sunday and a car smashed a garage door open. We thought someone was going to get out of the car, but after a little bit we realized that no one was in it. Luckily no one got hurt and there was no car passing when it happened. We got to help them pick up the heavy metal door and tilt it against a wall. 

Other than that the week was pretty chill. We got a lot of work done but then we got up on Sunday and it was raining so we had less people at church than we were expecting. It was still pretty good though. 

This week I want to share a scripture about repentance. Moroni 6:8 "But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven." This scripture talks a lot about the goodness of God and how forgiving he is. It doesn't matter how bad or many times we mess up if we repent with real intent seeking forgiveness we will receive it. I’m so grateful for all of the second chances that I have to improve and for the opportunity to grow as a missionary. Love you all! Crazy week

This week was very different. We had exchanges and this drunk guy tried to argue with us about the story of Adam and Eve.  I got to say goodbye to my companion at the bus station as he returns home on Wednesday. Now I get to stay with the Zone Leaders, for the next 4 days, in a house with 5 missionaries and 1 bathroom.  Transfers are a little different with our new mission president and I won't know what's going to happen until early tomorrow morning. We also got to go to a party where there was lots of food and had a table to share Book of Mormons and other pamphlets about the church.  Always remember that God loves you and He is there to help you through all of your difficulties. All you have to do is get on your knees and pray to Him and ask for help.  I love you guys! Hope you're all doing fantastic! Miracles

This week was amazing but also really crazy. I saw many miracles this week.  The first one was I found Peanut Butter when I was with the Zone Leaders. I have eaten many PB and J sandwiches the past few days. I also decided to make a sandwich with pancakes and that was also super good.  The second miracle was that Elder Aviz, my new companion, arrived in Uberlândia. His bus never showed up but they got him on the last bus that came to Uberlândia so he didn't have to sleep at the bus station. He only had to wait 5 or 6 hours at the bus station. Luckily I woke up at 2 am when they called so we could pick them up from the bus station.  The third miracle is that someone who talked to the missionaries a while ago decided to show up to church and has a lot of interest in returning more times. Portuguese is rough

This week was felt very long. I learn a little more Portuguese everyday but there are still moments when I talk and nobody understands me because of my American accent. There was a lot of walking this week. It was a little frustrating because we didn't get to teach a lot of people but the few people we did talk to seem interested.  Our members continue to be awesome but sometimes a few of them forget that we have to work, and we aren't always available to hang out with them. I saw a lot of dead animals this week so that was fun. One of our members has a friend from his mission that lives in the US so I got to speak English for like 5 minutes until I had to go back to Portuguese again.  My spiritual thought this week is a scripture that we talked about at church on Sunday.
