Training!!!

This week was crazy. Transfers happened and I'm staying a 4th transfer in Tibery. I also got my 4th companion in this area. He arrived in Brazil this week so I'm going to be training him. His name is Elder Boxx. This is my first companion that I have spoken better Portuguese than, so it's been a little different, but it has helped me realize how much I have learned over the past year. Thankfully I speak Portuguese a lot better than I did my first transfer. 

Other than picking him up from Goiânia on Wednesday not much happened this week. We did have 5 people at church which was awesome. It's been cool to see Elder Boxx experience his firsts in Brazil, and he speaks better Portuguese than I did when I arrived on the mission so he's off to a fast start. 

I don't have a scripture today, but I would just like to share my testimony with you guys that God loves you. He can help you overcome any challenge. He has already helped me a lot becoming district leader and now a trainer. If we put our trust in God and look/ask for His help He will be there for us.

The Banana 🍌

T his was another long week. It was awesome though. For New Years we got to have a Churrasco with one of our favorite families of our ward. We also had lunch with them the next day and they decided one Churrasco wasn't enough so we had another one the very next day. We also played Monopoly with them because nobody wanted to meet with us.  Our ward continues to be awesome, but sadly we only got one guy to church but they did a great job helping us teach him.  At one of our lunches this week the members gave us bananas to eat. The little girl gave me a banana that had two bananas in one peel. They told me I would have good luck if I ate it, so I did. Afterwards they told me my good luck was that I would have twins.  My spiritual thought for this week is a good scripture I read this week. It is 2nd Nephi 2:24. Crazy week

This week was very different. We had exchanges and this drunk guy tried to argue with us about the story of Adam and Eve.  I got to say goodbye to my companion at the bus station as he returns home on Wednesday. Now I get to stay with the Zone Leaders, for the next 4 days, in a house with 5 missionaries and 1 bathroom.  Transfers are a little different with our new mission president and I won't know what's going to happen until early tomorrow morning. We also got to go to a party where there was lots of food and had a table to share Book of Mormons and other pamphlets about the church.  Always remember that God loves you and He is there to help you through all of your difficulties. All you have to do is get on your knees and pray to Him and ask for help.  I love you guys! Hope you're all doing fantastic! Miracles

This week was amazing but also really crazy. I saw many miracles this week.  The first one was I found Peanut Butter when I was with the Zone Leaders. I have eaten many PB and J sandwiches the past few days. I also decided to make a sandwich with pancakes and that was also super good.  The second miracle was that Elder Aviz, my new companion, arrived in Uberlândia. His bus never showed up but they got him on the last bus that came to Uberlândia so he didn't have to sleep at the bus station. He only had to wait 5 or 6 hours at the bus station. Luckily I woke up at 2 am when they called so we could pick them up from the bus station.  The third miracle is that someone who talked to the missionaries a while ago decided to show up to church and has a lot of interest in returning more times.
