24 hours of traveling

Image
Currently we are still traveling back from Goiânia. We had to travel the 12 hours there and now back to help Elder Dewey become legal in Brazil.  This week was pretty awesome. We've been able to work a lot with the members recently even though they've been super busy. We have many friends progressing towards baptism so we should have a few baptisms within the next few weeks. We are especially excited for our friend Antônio who has been progressing a lot and has already experienced many changes because of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Unfortunately I don't have any more time today but don't forget that heaven is cheering you on and you can overcome any challenge in your way. Until next week! If you have any questions or just want to talk you can email me at   benson.plaster@missionary.org . Tchau, Elder Plaster  Antônio  Service project   Morcego (bat)

Fish eye 👁

This week was transfers and I'm going to be staying in Araxá with Elder Dewey for another transfer. I'm super excited to continue strengthening the branch and helping our friends to continue learning more about the gospel.  I got to try something new this week. I ate fish eye for the first time. It's not as bad as it sounds, tastes like the rest of the fish but some weird stuff inside as well. We got to help the branch president move this week. It was pretty hectic but it all worked out in the end.  I read a scripture this week that I really liked. It is in Mosiah 21:33. "And it came to pass that king Limhi and many of his people were desirous to be baptized; but there was none in the land that had authority from God. And Ammon declined doing this thing, considering himself an unworthy servant." I like this scripture because it talks about the importance of having authority of God to baptize. These people waited and sought after someone with the correct authority ...

Quick Week

This week was super good. We got a lot of people to church again and lots of them are progressing towards baptism. It’s still raining a lot here but it's been better than the heat. We got to play some beach volleyball today. Transfers are this week, but I don't think anything is going to change.  Remember that God loves you and is here to help us change and improve. Another quick week

This week passed by super fast. I don't really remember what happened other than we had a lot of lessons that got cancelled the day we were supposed to visit the people. We have been able to work a lot with the members recently and it's been amazing.  There’s not a lot of stuff to do in this city, so p-days have been kind of boring, but we're gonna find something cool to do next week. Sadly most of our friends that were at church last week were traveling this past week but we're going to be able to visit them all this week.  This week I had the opportunity to study a BYU speech given by Brad Wilcox. It's called "His Grace is Sufficient" and it's amazing. Would definitely recommend listening to it if you have some time. My favorite part says this, "The miracle of the Atonement is not just that we can go home but that—miraculously—we can feel at home there. If Christ did not require faith and repentance, then there would be no desire to change....
